The pictures in this exhibition are a development from Noel Myles' exhibition 'CLOUD' shown in the Mill Tye Gallery during the autumn of 2018.
They are interpretations of the experience of looking at seas and skies off the Suffolk coast over an extended period of time. The title 'The Sea and the Sky Never Meet’ reflects Myles' view that horizons are illusory and can never be reached. However far one travels, they never touch.
Consequently, he has chosen to keep separate the sea and the sky within these compositions. They relate but are independent of each other. The search for harmonious relationships has brought them together. They have been created in Myles' studio on the edge of Sudbury during the summer and autumn of 2018 and spring of 2019.
Mill Tye Gallery owner, Peter Rumsey, says "following on from Noel's well received exhibition 'CLOUD' we are delighted to be staging an exclusive display of this series of seascape prints that will be solely available through this gallery.
Noel has an international reputation and his Suffolk based prints can be seen in 40 cities spanning 3 continents.
He has a firm belief in showing his work in his home town, Sudbury, and we are proud to be displaying these Suffolk Coast prints for their first public exhibition.
