Roman River’s Stoke by Nayland weekend offers an array of orchestral delights this year, with some of the greatest music ever written, including Mozart’s breathtaking C minor Mass, Wagner’s soaring love music from Tristan & Isolde, and Sibelius’s amazing 5th symphony, conjuring up the epic mountains and landscapes of northern Finland, with the famous romantic horn calls dominating the final movement.   Come and experience the cinematic sweep of world-class symphonic music played by professional musicians from the UK’s top international orchestras, brought together and conducted by Orlando Jopling, in the stunning acoustics and architecture of Stoke by Nayland beautiful church, set in the middle of one of the most idyllic Stour Valley villages. There is free parking, good pubs and a bar for refreshments. We build a stage and banked seating, and install professional lighting each year to ensure great views for everyone, and our concerts are informal and sociable. A perfect, uplifting night out with friends.
